01 Termékleírás és anyagösszetétel

Cashmere wool is one of the most expensive and sought-after materials, characterized by its beautiful appearance and price.

But why is cashmere so expensive?

The answer is simple: cashmere is special . It is a truly special fiber. It takes four years for a goat to grow enough wool to make a single sweater, but the collection and processing of the raw material take longer. The production process is also special - cashmere wool is obtained by combing the underhair (the lower layer of hair) from special goats, which are provided with cashmere wool. The Kashmir goat comes from India and Pakistan. Today, Kashmir goats are bred in many countries around the world.

Cashmere comes in different grades, depending on which part of the goat it comes from. Premium quality products are made from the neck and groin area.

It has excellent insulation properties, the soft and dense material can keep the body warm even at temperatures of -40°C. Due to the unique structure of the fibers, cashmere retains body heat much better and longer than plain wool.

These are the cashmere goats:

It's about these cashmere goats.

A fact about cashmere is that it takes the wool of 6-8 goats to produce a typical blanket, which is one of the reasons why cashmere is expensive and more labor-intensive to produce.

Cashmere comes in three colors: gray, brown, and white , but it is a material that can be dyed in a wide variety of colors. It can be dyed just as well as other wools.

Cashmere fiber is six times finer than human hair. Cashmere was a material used by the nobles of the Roman Empire. Starting in the 18th century, this material became popular among European royal families and aristocrats.

USAGE:
We recommend using cashmere wool bedding in a set, taking advantage of the beneficial properties of the enveloping effect that is created . After unpacking, the wool should be shaken thoroughly so that the so-called floating fibers created during processing are removed from the product. When using the bedding, the blanket does not need to be pulled into a cover, only if your comfort requires it. To preserve its quality, we recommend frequently airing the wool in damp, wet, humid weather, as this will saturate and refresh the wool. Do not expose it to the sun, because the wool fibers will become fragmented and dry.

CLEANING:
Wool detergent or shampoo containing lanolin is available and can be washed by hand with cold water.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our experts will be happy to answer all your questions.

01 What mattress do you recommend?

Foam or spring? This is one of the most common questions, but the answer is not that simple, as it depends a lot on what kind of mattress is currently at home and what the customer is used to. Basically, the brand does not determine the suitability of the mattress. We rather recommend buying a firmer mattress, as it can be made more comfortable later (with a topper). Mattress buying cannot be "generic"; everyone should choose a mattress individually, adapting to their life situation and physical needs and characteristics. Of course, we are happy to help with this (too).

02 What is a mattress topper good for?

We recommend toppers exclusively for increasing comfort.

If you choose a firmer mattress that puts pressure on your hips or shoulders, a quality topper can improve your comfort. Your spine will still receive optimal support, but your hips and shoulders will experience a more comfortable and restful time on the mattress.

03 Should I use a mattress protector?

Naturally, yes, it's worth it because it's easier to wash than a mattress cover. Furthermore, it excellently absorbs the moisture generated during the night – which our body naturally/due to illness/sweating emits. A mattress protector is especially important for young children due to nighttime accidents. The waterproof mattress protector was developed for this purpose.

04 Should I buy a hardbox bed or a boxspring?

Since these beds still need a mattress, we recommend the Hardbox bed. Mattresses require a firm support, which the Hardbox bed provides, as its top is firm.

In contrast to Boxspring beds, because Boxspring beds have a Bonnell spring structure, they do not provide firm support. In terms of appearance, there is no difference between the two types of beds.

05 Should I buy a high or low mattress?

We are proponents of taller mattresses. Taller support = greater comfort. This applies to both pocket spring mattresses and cold foam mattresses. Our experience shows that a minimum mattress height of 20 cm is ideal, but sales indicate that more and more people are looking for mattresses that are 25-30 cm high.

06 Should I rotate the mattress?

Rotating is unavoidable! We recommend it every 1-2 months. We recommend a hard, straight support because sleeping on the mattress from above presses and dimples the affected side, but the bottom of the mattress remains straight, and after turning over we get an even surface again. Rotating makes the mattress more comfortable and lasts longer.

07 Why wool? Isn't that just for older people?

Wool is a natural material that has been used for thousands of years, both in clothing and for sleeping.

Our body still reacts to external influences in the same way as it did in previous millennia: it sweats, it gets cold, it gets hot. Wool helps our sleeping comfort, it is a very good moisture and heat conductor (and regulator). In addition, it is an excellent thermal insulator.

It keeps you warm on cold winter evenings, yet it can release heat, keeping you cool in summer. Due to its breathability, it helps to avoid excessive sweating and the formation of unpleasant odors, and prevents the proliferation of bacteria and mites. It also has a beneficial effect on the environment. You don't have to worry about microplastic emissions that would harm nature.
